groce-eye - free local connections for Windows

1. Right-click the downloaded ZIP and choose Extract All.
2. Open the extracted folder, then double-click Start groce-eye.cmd.
3. Your default browser opens the viewer. Keep the server window open.
Look for Windows connected at the top. Aircraft starts on near the selected home or fallback state.
Select Planes, or Layers > Aircraft, to see nearby flight observations.
Use Places to move to another area, then Show planes near this view.
This is a locally installed viewer, not an offline live-data service.
Live aircraft and camera views still need an internet connection.
4. Close the server window or press Ctrl+C when finished.

Windows 10/11 with Windows PowerShell 5.1 and an internet connection.
No Node, Python, paid API keys, accounts, admin installation, or subscription.
If Windows shows a download warning, review the files before choosing to run.
An organization may block downloaded scripts; follow your organization's policy.
The launcher permits this bundled script for that PowerShell process only.
It does not change the machine's saved execution policy.

This package listens only on 127.0.0.1, normally port 8787. It serves the
bundled website and requests these fixed, public, keyless sources:
satellites CelesTrak space-station orbital elements (cached 2 hours)
satelliteCatalog CelesTrak active catalog (cached 2 hours)
aircraft ADSB.lol regional aircraft within 250 nautical miles maximum
aircraftGlobal OpenSky anonymous state vectors (cached 2 minutes)
cameras Fintraffic road-weather camera metadata (cached 1 hour)

Satellite positions are calculated from dated orbital elements. They are
estimates, not live telemetry. Camera availability and refresh vary by provider.
Anonymous aircraft feeds can be unavailable or rate limited. The package does
not bypass provider restrictions or unlock paid data. Internet providers see
your public IP when the local viewer requests their data. Viewer map tiles,
camera images, and library resources may still load directly from their hosts.

The viewer can use the larger satellite catalog through its connection menu.
OpenSky is available as an extra server endpoint for personal, noncommercial
use; the basic viewer does not automatically request it. Anonymous use has a
limited daily allowance. ADSB.lol requires contacting them for commercial use.
Follow the providers' terms. No user API keys are accepted or stored.
This Windows package is separate from the original upstream app.
Phones and macOS can use the browser viewer; this launcher is Windows only.

Troubleshooting:
If port 8787 is already in use, close an earlier groce-eye server window first.
The package is unsigned. It contains readable scripts and does not install
services, startup tasks, runtimes, or paid software. Keep the extracted folder
together; opening the HTML file alone does not start the local connections.
